How a Master Plan & Supporting Postal Campaigns Helped Gap Medics Double Their Bookings
THE BACKGROUND
Inspiring our future doctors, nurses, dentists and midwives, Gap Medics provide aspiring medical practitioners with a unique gap year experience, giving those students a once in a lifetime opportunity to work in hospitals around the world.
THE CHALLENGE
After establishing themselves within this specialist sector Gap Medics aimed to gain recognition as the leading medical student gap year provider in the UK.
THE SOLUTION: MASTER PLAN & POSTAL
To achieve Gap Medics’s goal an on and offline media strategy had to be incorporated to help gain a greater share of the market and gradually build a stronger brand recognition amongst teachers and students.
A series of direct emails, and postal campaigns including posters and booklets were sent to the Heads of Science and Careers to distribute to their students who were potentially interested in medicine as a career.
As students were the core audience it was important for the packs and emails to engage with them directly, and ultimately generate a buzz of excitement amongst other students considering a career in medicine.
THE RESULTS
(Mark Hinksman - Gap Medics Business Development Manager)
“The best response we received was for 72 students (at an average of £900 per student) to book places after just one email campaign.
“Doubled our bookings from schools.”
Sprint Education has consistently provided a valuable and steady stream of students for us, and doubled our bookings from schools in the last few months.
ROI wise it's very profitable, and by far the most cost-effective way of marketing to secondary schools and sixth form colleges."
