Campus Acceptable Use Policy
The Rules of using Campus
Acceptable Use Policy (last updated 15th February 2015).
If you are a Sprint Campus user, this is the document that clarifies what you are allowed to do with Sprint Campus and what you are not. We will ask you to expressly agree to the rules set out in this Policy. If you do not then you will be unable to use Sprint Campus.
1. DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
In the Agreement:
"Policy" means this Acceptable Use Policy;
"Service" means the services available via https://sprint-education.co.uk;
"Content" means any content that you may submit to the Service.
2. GENERAL RESTRICTIONS
You must not use the Service in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Service or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Service, or any of the areas of, or services on, the Service.
You must not use the Service:
a) in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful; or
b) in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity.
3. UNLAWFUL & ILLEGAL MATERIALS
You must not use the Service to store, host, copy, distribute, display, publish, transmit or send Content that is illegal or unlawful, or that will or may infringe a third party's legal rights, or that could give rise to legal action whether against you or us or a third party (in each case in any jurisdiction and under any applicable law).
Content (and its publication on the Service) must not:
a) be libellous or maliciously false;
b) be obscene or indecent;
c) infringe any copyright, moral rights, database rights, trade mark rights, design rights, rights in passing off, or other intellectual property rights;
d) infringe any rights of confidence, rights of privacy, or rights under data protection legislation;
e) constitute negligent advice or contain any negligent statement;
f) constitute an incitement to commit a crime;
g) be in contempt of any court, or in breach of any court order;
h) be in breach of racial or religious hatred or discrimination legislation;
i) be blasphemous;
j) be in breach of official secrets legislation; or
k) be in breach of any contractual obligation owed to any person.
You must not submit any Content that is or has ever been the subject of any threatened or actual legal proceedings or other similar complaint.
4. EMAIL MARKETING & SPAM
You must not use the Service to transmit or send unsolicited commercial communications.
You may not use the Sprint Campus Service in any way (directly or indirectly) to send:
a) unsolicited email ("spam") in violation of any law;
b) email to an address obtained via harvesting methods;
c) email to an address that is incomplete, inaccurate and/or not updated for all applicable opt-out notifications, using best efforts and best practices in the industry;
d) to any purchased or leased list.
5. EMAIL CONTENT & FORMATTING
Email sent, or caused to be sent to or through the Sprint Campus Service may not:
a) use or contain invalid or forged headers;
b) use or contain invalid or non-existent domain names;
c) use a third party's internet domain name without their consent, or be relayed from or through a third party's equipment without the third party’s permission;
d) contain false or misleading information in the subject line or otherwise contain false or misleading content;
e) use the Sprint Campus name, or logos without our prior written consent;
f) use purchased lists to send email to.
6. EMAIL OUT-OUT REQUIREMENTS
When emailing from Sprint Campus you must include an unsubscribe link in every email. The software will demand this of you. If a contact or school does not unsubscribe via this link but contacts you in another way and asks to be unsubscribed you warrant that you will promptly unsubscribe or remove that contact or school. These requirements may not apply if the email sent is a transactional email and these requirements are not otherwise required by law.
7. COOKIE POLICY
Campus gives you the ability to track the interactions with your website of those contacts who have filled out a lead generation form. It does this by placing a cookie on the user's machine (cc_cookie_id). If you intend to use this feature you must ensure your website has a clear Cookie Policy and that the page your lead generation form is embedded on also has a clear link to that policy.
8. NETIQUETTE
Content must be appropriate, civil, tasteful and accord with generally accepted standards of etiquette and behaviour on the internet.
Content must not be offensive, deceptive, threatening, abusive, harassing, or menacing, hateful, discriminatory or inflammatory.
Content should not cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
9. BREACHES OF THIS POLICY
We reserve the right to edit or remove any Content in our sole discretion for any reason, without notice or explanation.
Without prejudice to this general right and our other legal rights, if you breach this Policy in any way, or if we reasonably suspect that you have breached this Policy in any way, we may:
a) delete or edit any of your Content;
b) send you one or more formal warnings;
c) temporarily suspend your access to a part or all of the Service; and/or
d) permanently prohibit you from using a part or all of the Service.
10. BANNED USERS
Where we suspend or prohibit your access to the Service or a part of the Service, you must not take any action to circumvent such suspension or prohibition (including without limitation using a different account).
11. REPORTING ABUSE
If you are the recipient of an email message sent using the Sprint Campus service that violates this Acceptable Use Policy please forward a copy of the received email (including the full headers) to abuse@sprint-education.co.uk. We will investigate any reports and respond as we see appropriate.
